SUBJECT : Sherpa traditional documented for Cultural department for Cultural department’s coffee table book

Gangtok, May 10th: State Cultural Affairs & Heritage department is documenting traditional and lifestyles of 21 different communities of Sikkim for its upcoming coffee table book.

On Monday a team from the department visited Bakhim village in south Sikkim and documented Sherpa community rituals, costumes and ornaments, foods and shamanism activities, informs a press release.

The local Sherpa community also performed their folk song for the cultural department team.
