November 27, 2017: 1284 acres of land around Sajjangarh will soon be developed as a forest area. As part of that, forest department will also develop adventure tourism and trekking trails along the area adjoining Sajjangarh. Along with it, there will also be plantation of different species of plants and trees in the area.

Transfer of land to forest department will also ensure that encroachments happening around the Sajjangarh sanctuary are stopped.

Forest department has sent a proposal to State Government towards acquiring this land. Once the land transfer is completed, forest department will start development of the area.

Chief forest conservator (Wildlife) Rahul Bhatnagar informed that once the land is transferred, forest act will come into force and they will then undertake development of the area.
