Minister Kadakampally Surendran releases the promo video on Monday

Thiruvananthapuram, December 12, 2017: Pathanamthitta District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) has come out with a new promo video, highlighting its ecotourism attractions, put together by a group of youngsters hailing from the district.

Tourism minister Kadakampally Surendran released the promo video by handing it over to Pathanamthitta DTPC secretary Shamsuddin A at a function held in the capital city on Monday.

The promo video covers all ecotourism destinations and related activities in Pathanamthitta, and aims to lure more tourists to the region.

The 2 minutes 26 seconds video covers the elephant habitat at Konni, the famed Adavi basket boat rides, tree huts of Adavi, and many more features of several ecotourism spots. It also depicts a few awesome experiences travellers can expect when they travel to Pathanamthitta.

The elephant habitat at Konni has already been attracting scores of leisure travellers on a daily basis, and at a distance of around 10km from Konni lies Adavi, famous for its basket boats. Besides, the bamboo-built tree huts here offer comfortable stay for visitors in the lap of nature.

"All these aspects have been featured in the new promo video, which will be released on social media platforms including YouTube and Whatsapp, to lure travellers to Pathanamthitta," said Blessen the director of the video. Among the crew are Jerinjio Jose and Prince Muttathukunnel (camera), Tijo Thankachan (editing), Girish Dev (Music) and Anoop Siva (sound design), all hailing from the district.

Cine artist Abhimanyu Eka and video director Blessen were also present at the video releasing ceremony.
