The state Forest Department, along with Ecotourism Society of Himachal Pradesh organised a two-day international conference on Ecotourism Potential in Himachal Pradesh, and decided that a total of 25 new destinations will be developed by constructing log huts. These eco-tourism hubs in Himachal Pradesh are probably going to be developed by this fiscal year. Also, there will be 10 places developed for adventure activities, and 31 circuits for ecotourism, all of which would be first approved by the central government. In addition to these, 50 forest rest houses are also being added to start ecotourism activities in the state.

The government is looking to call tourists to explore its virgin destinations and help rural areas get an increased economic activity. The state of Himachal Pradesh has tremendous potential in tourism, as Union Minister K.J.
