Namchi, February 4: After maintaining tight lid since his arrival on Sunday, filmmaker Amol Palekar today finally lifted the veil of secrecy surrounding his upcoming Bollywood flick on Sikkim.I am making a Hindi film to showcase the cultural grandeur of Bhutia, Lepcha and Nepali communities of Sikkim before the world in the next few months, said Mr. Palekar today here at Seven Hills Resort. South Sikkim Tourism Development Samiti (SSTDS) and State tourism department had jointly organized a cultural programme at the resort which the filmmaker and his team had attended. Expressing his excitement on the Sikkimese cultural magnificence, Mr. Palekar said that he was impressed by the peaceful nature of Sikkimese people and Sikkim. The upcoming film will accord a special place for the culture of Bhutia, Lepcha and Nepali community of Sikkim, he said. Mrs. Tikamaya Chamling, SSTDS president Gagan Rai and other members of the society who were present on the occasion observed that Mr. Palekar’s comments endorse the development of Sikkim’s culture and State government
