Gangtok, September 27, 2018: A programme to mark World Tourism Day was organized by ENVIS Resource Partner on Ecotourism, Sikkim State Council of Science and Technology in collaboration with Tourism department of Sikkim University at Vigyan Bhawan, Deorali on Thursday.

Sikkim University tourism students and research scholars and trainees of Green Skill Development Programme initiated by ENVIS Resource Partner on Ecotourism gave presentation on the theme of World Tourism Day “Tourism and the Digital Transformation’ on the occasion.
GSDP Trainees under Nature Conservation and Livelihood: Ecotourism performing Silent Act on the occasion of World Tourism Day.
The programme also included a debate on pros and cons of digitalization, exhibition of digital video shoots and photos of ecotourism spots of Sikkim by both GSDP and SU students. Additional chief secretary K. Jayakumar and chief guest P.K.Dong spoke on the occasion.
