Inaugural function of Green Skill Development Programme on Bamboo Crafts

9^th December 2021: ENVIS Resource Partner Sikkim on Ecotourism, Sikkim State Council of Science and Technology, Gangtok successfully inaugurated 400 hrs Certificate Course in Value Addition and Marketing of NTFPs (Plant Origin) : Bamboo Crafts at Sikkim Science Centre Marchak. The programme was chaired by Shri. B.P. Pradhan (IFS), Secretary, Department of Science and technology, Government of Sikkim. 

He explained trainees on how bamboo can be value added and marketed for sustainable livelihood for unemployed youths. Further Shri D.T. Bhutia, Director cum ENVIS Coordinator interacted with the trainees and wish them success for this training programme. Officials of Science and Technology, ENVIS Staffs we present in the inaugural function. The programme ended with a group photo session.
