16th September 2022 : ENVIS ‘Resource Partner’ Sikkim on Ecotourism, State Council of Science and Technology, Sikkim(SCSTS), organised an awareness programme Re-Introduction of Cheetah in India at Government Senior Secondary, Ranka, Gangtok, Sikkim today. The programme was briefed by Shri. Prabhakar Gurung, RA, SCSTS, followed by introduction session by Ms. Arpana Thapa, SCSTS. Total of 150(One Hundred and Fifty) Students from Class V to Class IX participated in the awareness programme on introduction of Cheetah in India. During the session video clips of the previous webinars were also displayed where students took great interest in it.

The programme had a very fruitful session where students also participated in verbal question & answer session. Further, students were also sensitized on World Ozone Day.

The session was attended by the officials of Sikkim State Council of Science and Technology (SCSTS) and Sikkim ENVIS RP team. Shri. Ashis Thapa, Principal, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Ranka, thanked Sikkim State Council of Science & Technology and Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, for conducting awareness programme in his school. The programme ended with vote thanks.
